Robots

Robots Robots are studied under a branch of science known as robotics. This branch of technology deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots , [1] as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing. These technologies deal with automated machines that can take the place of humans in dangerous environments or manufacturing processes, or resemble humans in appearance, behavior, and/or cognition. Many of today's robots are inspired by nature contributing to the field of bio-inspired robotics . The concept of creating machines that can operate autonomously dates back to classical times , but research into the functionality and potential uses of robots did not grow substantially until the 20th century. [2] Throughout history, robotics has been often seen to mimic human behavior, and often manage tasks in a similar fashion. Today, robotics is a rapidly growing field, as technological advances continue,

555 Timer pinout and frequency determination

555 TIMER/ TRIPLE FIVE TIMER PIN OUT AND FREQUENCY DETERMINATION This tutorial provides sample circuits to set up a 555 timer in monostable, astable, and bistable modes as well as an in depth discussion of how the 555 timer works and how to choose components to use with it.  The 555 timer is a chip that can be used to create pulses of various durations, to output a continuous pulse waveform of adjustable pulse width and frequency , and to toggle between high and low states in response to inputs.  By wiring the 555 timer with resistors and capacitors in various ways, you can get it to operate in three different modes Monostable Mode is great for creating time delays.  In this mode an external trigger causes the 555 timer to output a pulse of an adjustable duration.  Astable Mode outputs an oscillating pulse signal/waveform.  In this mode the output of the 555 timer is switching between high and low states at a tunable frequency and pulse width. Bistable Mode

Operating Systems (OS)

Defination This is a software designed to control the hardware of a specific data-processing system in order to allow users and application programs to make use of the system. It can be said that it links the software hardware to USERS who interact with it using applcation programs.   Application of operating systems  Operating systems are commonly used in: Personal computers Mobile phones Robots Smart T.Vs Smart phones Tablets Smart watches P.L.Cs Motor vehicles Embed systems etc

100W inverter

100Watt Inverter Circuit by IRF44 Mosfet This inverter circuit will provide a very stable 230V Output Voltage. Frequency of operation is determined by a VR1 and is normally set to 60 Hz. Various “off the shelf” transformers can be used. Or Custom wind your own for best results. Additional MosFets can be paralleled for higher power. It is recommended to Have a “Fuse” in the Power Line and to always have a “Load connected”, while power is being applied. The Fuse should be10 Amps per 100 watts of output. The Power leads must be heavy enough wire to handle this High Current Draw   The pwm at IC1 CD4047 can be replaced with a 555 timer which is available in local stores. 100Watt Inverter by IRF44 Mosfet Absolute Maximum Ratings of IRF44 Mosfet Continuous Drain Current (25°C, 10V) = 49 A Continuous Drain Current ( 100°C, 10V) = 35 A Pulsed Drain Current = 160 A Power Dissipation = 94 W Gate-to-Source Voltage = ± 20 V Avalanche Current = 25 A Operating Junctio

PIC16F84A Micro Controller PIC PROGRAMMER PIC 16F84A Programmer Bootloading There is one other way of programing a pic device and this is using a piece of software called a bootloader. This method is only usable on the newer devices that can re-program parts of their own FLASH mem

Boston marathon explosions

Boston Marathon explosions   The daunting task of sifting through thousands of images of the Boston Marathon bombing site in search of a culprit suddenly telescoped to a single video from a Lord & Taylor security camera Wednesday. The second full day of the investigation into the attack that killed three people and injured at least 176 brought jitters, rumors and at least the hope that investigators had made important progress, though Massachusetts Gov. Deval L. Patrick (D) said that while the probe is “making some progress . . . it’s going to be slow, it’s going to be methodical.” The mean, who are carrying black bags of the type found at the scene, are visible on video of each of the two bombing sites. An official, who spoke to the Globe on condition of anonymity, said the best video came not from the Lord & Taylor store across Boyleston Street from the bombings, as has been widely discussed, but from surveillance cameras on the same side of the street as
